The Naughty Notary
Terms & Conditions
The main rules governing orders and use of the service.
Last updated: 16 July 2026
1. About these terms
These terms apply when you use this website or place an order with The Naughty Notary.
2. Nature of the products
Our contract-style products are decorative, humorous or sentimental novelty keepsakes. They are not legal instruments, do not create legally binding agreements and are not legal advice.
3. Ordering and customer responsibilities
You must provide accurate contact, delivery and personalisation information. You confirm that you are authorised to supply and use any names, photographs, logos, artwork or personal information included in an order.
4. Proof approval
Where a proof is supplied, you must carefully check spelling, dates, wording, photographs, personalisation and layout. Approval authorises final production or delivery. Changes requested after approval may be charged separately.
5. Prices and payment
The price shown at checkout is the price payable for the selected product and options. Payment is required before personalisation work begins unless we agree otherwise in writing.
6. Production and delivery
Production and delivery estimates are guidance rather than guaranteed dates unless a deadline has been expressly accepted in writing. We are not responsible for delays outside our reasonable control.
7. Cancellations, returns and refunds
Personalised goods and supplied digital content may have different cancellation rights from standard products. Faulty, damaged, incorrect or misdescribed products remain covered by applicable consumer rights. See the Refund & Returns Policy for the full process.
8. Intellectual property
You receive the completed personalised product for its intended private use. The underlying templates, layouts, website content, brand assets and original design systems remain protected and may not be copied, resold or commercially reproduced without written permission.
9. Unacceptable content
We may refuse content that is unlawful, threatening, abusive, discriminatory, defamatory, exploitative, non-consensual, fraudulent or infringes another person’s intellectual-property, privacy or other rights.
10. Liability
Nothing in these terms excludes rights or liabilities that cannot lawfully be excluded. Subject to that, we are not liable for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable when the order was placed or for business losses arising from a product bought for private use.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Northern Ireland, subject to any mandatory consumer protections that apply where you live.
